Much better day two as the wine deepened and the body built to a nice medium density. A bit simple as I don't detect any secondary characteristics. Typical US syrah profile but a tad reserved. Nice nose. Rather short but pleasant fruit driven finish.

Day 2 in Woodinville (Woodinville, WA): Another relatively "meh" performance from this wine (especially after the beautiful 2006 Stellar). Found this one to be a touch meatier than the bottle I had a couple weeks ago.

4 Days in Las Vegas; 6/1/2011-6/4/2011 (Las Vegas, NV): Blueberry cobbler, dark fruit, some leather and tart raspberries. Better on day two when the density loosened up a bit and the flavors mellowed out a bit. At first, it was a bit much for me with very rip red and black fruit on the palate, but with about 24 hours in the fridge the leather and spice component emerged from behind the thick fruit.

One of the few CC wines I've liked. Nice nose, good acidity, no overdose of American Oak, standard syrah flavor; a bit lacking in the finish.
