Wow. Viewing the tasting notes, CT needs to remove those that are more than X std deviations off the mean. So - I really like this wine. Tasted it in a mini-vertical against the 2014. Clear once settled but with sediment. Deep Garnet with med+ meniscus. High viscosity. Nose is SAVORY. Really great, complex nose. Plum, dried plum. Soil. Lots of soil. Also licorice, bacon truffle and mushroom on the nose. Nice. Plum and raisin on the palate, along with loads of smooth, earthy flavors. Tastes like a good, old world wine. Power with finesse. Still full-bodied with med+ acidity and tannins which are fine and a bit mellowed. Long, complex finish turns back to the plum fruit as it sails on. Just great - no need to wait!

(Col Solare Col Solare Columbia Valley) A very different wine than the 2006 with more fruit aromas and tastes, including blueberry and blackberry, along with pencil shavings, a touch of vanilla, and a light floral bouquet. An elegant wine that is still built to last. 71% Cabernet; 25% Merlot; 4% Cabernet Franc. 14.5% alcohol. 7,000 cases produced.
(Col Solare) Opaque black red violet color; lavender, blackberry and black fruit nose; tasty, focused, black fruit, blackberry and charcoal palate; medium-plus finish

This wine remains in its prime and surprisingly vibrant for its age. Lovely

Delicious. Hard to believe this is a 15 year old WA Cab. Would buy a case if I could find it.

Smooth, integrated tannins, red fruits still prominent, easy, relaxing. At fifteen years, very nice. Bit of a surprise given the age.

Pop n pour. Really good, beautiful right now. Opens up with air, rich and expressive.
