  • It's a pity the previous comment was based on a flawed bottle. For me, the wine was still quite drinkable and nose improved considerably 2 hours after decanting. A typical Aussie shiraz: garnet colored, with medium legs, and smells of coffee, verbena and basil. The tastes include blackberry, raisin, coffee and molasses. There was little of the hot aftertaste found in many shirazes.

  • Not very pleasant at all. Not corked, and I don't have a reference point to base this on as I've never had this producer, the wine is just off. Popped cork and nose gave lots of stewed fruits and oak, the palate is very medicinal, almost a kirsch-like hint mixed in with oak and a very short, metallic finish with an cough syrup edge. I feel sorry for anyone still holding a bottle of this if this is how it aged, hope for your sake my bottle was just bad. 50+4+7+8+2=71
