Beautifully complex nose. Soil, mineral, red fruit. Knocked the crap out of a Bourgogne Pinot I had on the next night. Palate is rife with red berries and earth notes. Great mouthfeel, right acidity, impressive finish for the Gamay.

Nose screams Beaujolais, with very bright fruit. On the palate this is a much more serious wine, with a solid core, good fruit, and a rather taut structure. Excellent quality Beaujolais. Edit after reading the other notes: I have to agree with 14Frimaire on this one, not sure what egreen was tasting.

I could not disagree more with egreen. Given the amount of money we're talking about, this is a vastly better wine. Is it the greatest vintage? Certainly not. But it is lovely, aromatic, compelling, light, taught, everything I like in Beaujolais.

For the price, not the best. Go with the Beaujolais from Jadot, which is readily available for around $10 or less.
