Pale yellow, no suggestion of oxidation. Nose of lemon, baked apple, and butterscotch (without being cloying). Rich, smooth cooking apple and ripe white stone fruit with attention grabbing grip that carries through a remarkablly long, long finish. In a word, "wow!"

Taken at the right time, impeccable balance, long and strong. Classic Corton. Fruit not exotic and not lemon, some/little butter notes like Mersault, minerals more profound than ie.PM. Complex.

Had this along the Bachelet and this was also perfect. Bottle #1 of 6, bought on release. I am happy i waited so long because this is hitting the spot now and it will slowly improve i feel. Many years ahead so will pace the other bottles to make sure i drink at least one at the peak!

{Bought on release, #5 of 6, perfect fill; consumed at Confrerie Paulee} Spectacular nose, depth, richness, complexity, certainly the equal of bottles written up in 2022. This, and the 2016 Lucien Le Moine Corton, were the 2 best premier and grand cru bottles I tasted all day (60+ bottles). Phenomenal.
[Wonderful to see a Corton-Charlemagne of this age show so well after all the premox issues earlier this century].

Popped and poured into decanter. Dark gold color, nice nose and palate complexity, enjoyed for a couple hours.
