From a perfect bottle, this wine had a deep yellow center and clear rims. The medium+ intensity nose showed lemons, honeysuckle flower, white stone, and some pear.
This was still a bit tight at first. After an hour or so the firm acidity started to show itself. After 3 hours, the fruit started to come on strong and it was even better after 5 hours in the decanter. It was perfectly integrated and complex. It also had outstanding length.
Amazingly enough, this wine was still a bit tight and needed time to show its true glory. A powerhouse!

World's Greatest - Night I (Eleven Madison Park): Nose is comparable to that on the Blanchot but amplified and with more reduction and sulfur. Big and bright and highly expressive. Nose is the best of the three (Blanchots, Valmur, and Clos). Big and striking on the palate with rich red and yellow apple juice. Powerful. Dynamite tonight, a gear ahead of Blanchot. Most complex and integrated. Distinctly Chablis still, not just like Puligny or Meursault.

Captivating nose with great funk, light citrus and chalky notes. More expressive than the Clos, this had an attractive light sweetness on the finish. 95+

Zachys La Paulée "Warm-up" Dinner (Lafayette - New York NY): Corked. So sad since this was probably the wine I was most excited to taste.

Full and multi-faceted, I did not find this burdened by botrytis notes. 94-95
