Golden Color. Nose was a perfect balance of bergamot, honey and ripe apples. Palate was rich with age and terroir - very much Charmes in it's weight and general disposition. The balance of primary and secondary flavors were in great balance, while fully mature, the wine was absolutely delicious. Drink now. Bravo.

While the aromas are a bit advanced given the vintage, there are very immediate notes of sweet brown sugar, Meursault nuttiness and very deep lemon curd flavors that can also be found on the very rich, long, yet lifted palate. This certainly has a bit more acidity than some other '99 whites but has plenty of expansion and midpalate interest to balance things out. Really lovely and complete.

A very nice bottle of white burgundy. Good citrus flavors but not as buttery and steely as a Puligny Montrachet. Not much trace of oak and a good sense of terroir. A solid value at around $50 to $60.

Gives a slightly oxidised impression. Candy and banana in the taste. Reminds me of the northern Rhone whites.
