Raspberry fruit, unctious jam notes, with hints of alcohol. I kinda like it. Pretty dark and jammy fruit but a little bit more lift in the body. I would do it at $14.

CoolVines Tasting 4: Grand Opening: Friday (CoolVines, Princeton): Dark ruby in the glass. Nose of ripe black cherries, layered with butter-caramel, roasted nuts, milky coffee, hint of manure. Med+ body, med+ acid, soft silky tanins, good flavorful midpalate. Straightforward and good. $15. It would be nicer if it were 10, but still, not bad.

Heckuva bargain. Dark berry fruit, hint of spice that really accentuates food with heat. Good combo with barbecued pork.
