Canned pears and citrus on the nose followed on the palate by lots of "skinned pears in light syrup" and slightest hints of baking spice. Off-putting tartness, like orange and grapefruit peel combined with stainless steel on the "wish it weren't so long" finish.
Style & Quality: B-. One of the fruitier Orvieto's on the market but acidity is unbalanced. Might go better with food.
Value: B. $15 is a fair price but I would not recommend this wine based on the finish.
Overall: B-

Citric and a bit spicy, with considerable body and good length. Not bad with light vegetables. Unfortunately, it's also a bit clumsy, as a touch of heat blurs the fruit on the palate.
