  Garnet colored, medium legs, light sediment. Distinct aromas of raspberry, blackberry, and cherry; light aromas of black pepper, tea and vanilla. Flavors of raspberry, blackberry and vanilla. Medium body, polished/smooth texture. Medium finish, low acidity. Overall impressions: very satisfying, clearly at prime, worth the wait. Paid $26; definitely worth the price. Paired well with turkey and beef. Re-tasted 2 days later with minimal fading. Drink now or within 2 years.

  Inky berry and rind washed cheese on the nose, some background vegetable components. Full bodied, solid tannins and a very nice dark berry with hints of vegetable/earth. A great mix of new world fruit with the traditional greenness of cab franc.
