  • Slow oxed for 2 hours. Grilled nut, pineapple, ripe yellow fruit and caramel. This wine has weight and depth with acidity. This is grand cru quality. 92-93

  • From a great looking bottle, this wine had a yellow center and clear rims. The medium intensity nose of lemon tart, pear, apple, and white stone was subtle but captivating.

In the mouth, this wine was rich and ripe but didn't show much flavor or acidity for a couple hours. It slowly developed more of both. While it remained on the subtle side, it was beautifully balanced and integrated.

This wine looks young but it is hard to imagine it is suddenly going to develop a lot more drama. It tastes great so I would suggest drinking now with several hours of air.

  • From a bottle purchased upon release, this wine looked strong with a medium yellow color. The medium intensity nose was a little milder than some other bottles I have had but showed a similar flavor profile of citrus, white stone, and apple.

In the mouth the wine was fully mature with flavors that echoed the nose. The acidity was very rounded but hung in there nicely to allow a moderate plus finish. Despite its age, it needed a good 2 hours to show its potential.

My experience is that this wine is usually of high quality and generally underappreciated. This bottle was very nice but I have had more impressive experiences in the past.

  • Remains pale; classic vegetal nose, smokey, rosted nuts; dry, minerally. acidity a bit too forward; has substance, stylish, extended finish. Holding well. score 17
