Loved it. Deep gold color, almost a bronze. In fact, though it might have turned. Instead this was a decidedly delicious turn into what a well crafted, well stored wine can develop into. Drank almost like a dessert wine. Most incredible taste of blood orange on the finish.

Slight signs of leakage. Super expressive nose with ripe apple, yellow peach, and vanilla bean. The palate is full and creamy, with zingy acidity riding beneath the fruit. This bottle seems to be in its peak drinking window, although there's a chance this is a little more advanced due to the cork.

Medium gold. This bottle was not as good as my last one. Sort of indistinct aromatically and likewise nondescript on the palate. Possibly very slightly corked. Nothing obviously wrong, but this bottle was just not very interesting.

Yum. Color is white yellow. Not honey gold and no green. Aromas of fresh apricot, white flowers, minerals. It’s really juicy and fresh and minerals and yum. No need to wait if you have some.

(Schmitt-Wagner Longuicher Maximiner Herrenberg Riesling Kabinett) ($19.00) High-toned and sleek, more overtly salty, lacier and precise; an articulate wine of elegant diction, girlish, a gamine of piquancy and mischief; spearminty and flinty—could almost be a Bernkasteler; in all another archetypal Mosel of the old school, the fine handsome old school; blessings on it. May it never die. Drinking like a dream right now.

This is back on form, showing similar to my note from Nov 2020, even a little younger perhaps. Charming wine, in a good drinking window now.
