From 1.5L Stony, floral, stony Day 2 showing the genesis of band-aid/barn, but doesn’t quite go there. Peppery with raspberry fruit. Drinking nicely and I’m not as concerned about where this is at, as I thought I did. Who’s countin’? Drink to 2030.

From mag. No hurry on this. Comfortable and fully resolved in its own distinctive skin, especially after a few hours, this made a fantastic birthday pairing to all six different types of tacos, including the shrimp.

Color does not suggest a 30 year old wine. Med/- garnet core with a thin orange rim. Not really browning outright. Lots of mineral and exotic pepper notes to the nose. Bou-quet. Red cherry fruit too. Weird looking cork. Top half is smooth hard dark brown. Old seepage? The fill is still pretty high, 2.25cm below cork, so not much if any seepage suggested there... On the palate, med/- body, still med/- tannin. Black tea, easy sandalwood, red fruit, strawberry, earth, fig, the finest pepper. Super charming. Loads of life. Drink to 2022.

"What the fuck?"
Dried petals and fruits like a fruity loose-leaf tea, big black licorice palate
Candied licorice finish, like Good 'n Plenty
Hell of a finish; beautiful acidity
Chocolate-covered green pepper, seared/smoked pepper?
