On the nose some earth, on the palate acidity and fruit not real impressive on it's own but with pork chops this wine really came into it's own, I'd guess this is not unusual for burgundy. The food really mellowed the acidity and improved the wine, I think this might improve with a bit more age.

(at Aureole – NYC) – deep rose to pink; bright cherry/raspberry fruit with just a hint of wild thyme. Light, fresh and bursting with juicy pinot noir fruit. Dances and lingers on the palate – a lovely wine from an unheralded terroir. Delicious drinking over the next 2 years. (14)
