Opened and let it breathe for 30 minutes. At first it was quite minerally, but then that tamed with some air. Dark ruby with initial bricking. The nose shows game meat, plums, blackberries, tobacco leaves, rubber, eucalyptus. Very nice and fresh and quite secondary now. On the palate the wine is well-developed and in a great spot - some acidity left and mellow, silky tannins give a mature feel to it, with marked minerality. Still lots of fruits with plums and blackberries, but lots of tobacco leaves and cocoa notes too, with leather coming out as well. The ending is medium-long, balanced, with warm spice and then some sandalwood.
This is an AMAZING wine in a fantastic spot. Drink now or hold 3-5 years more to see further development, but regardless this is stunning stuff that does Torbreck’s name justice. 95 points.

from magnum - decanted for 1½ hours prior to serving. Still very ripe and jammy, but it's softened with age and some aeration. Drinking beautifully right now.

Viognier Syrah Pure focused nose of blueberry, blackberry mint, mentol. Eucalyptus. Big body and alc. Medium acidity. Still young. Hints of leather and farmyard. Long finish. Ultimately overpowering.

Amazing smooth aged aussie shiraz - great deep colour with light purple rim - nose of pepper, berries and eucalyptus - taste full and evolved with berries and cinnamon but very smooth with a long after taste - gorgeous sweet wine
