Absolutely rocking at its peak. Palate -balanced, with a nice touch of earthy funk that added character rather than dominated. Opened this for a friend who digs Oregon Pinots. It hit the mark (Charlie Sheen - "winning"). One of those "good bottles", opened at exactly the right time. Wish I had another.
Drank over several days. This is a nice more modern Pinot but light on the wood. It has a lightly sweet plum and strawberry flavor with a hint of spicy. It didnt develop much complexity even with 8 yrs in the cellar and open 3 days.

On our visit to White Rose at New Year, the new young attendant in the tasting room informed that the '06's were "falling off the table,' which I found somewhat disquieting in view of the collection still in the cellar. Well on the evidence of this particular '06, I would say such fears are misplaced. This is very much still on the table - until it disappeared all too easily into our gullets.
We went to a pretty good pinot tasting event last week and sampled more than 20 from Oregon and Nocal in the $40+ price range and I can say with some confidence that none bettered this modest White Rose effort. Slightly dusty with a clear rim, the typical ebullient aroma, ripe fruit some rose petals, ripe and tart cherry fruit. Lovely

What a great wine from my personal favorite winery in Dundee. Great nose of earthy funk, cherries, and raspberries. Gorgeous color. This wine has legs! I only wish I had more in my inventory! Hint of oak and vanilla tobacco, enough spice in there as well. What a great wine!
