Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 85 points

  • Taken to Loeb 2010 cask sample tasting and consumed with Patrick and family who were present (which may colour my view somewhat). Quite a deep gold, but after a little bit of bottle stink this wine cleared and showed a little fuller, broader and more powerfully than my other two bottles had when drunk previously. Old of course, with the mushroom and woodsy scents of very old age. On the palate surprisingly weighty and broad, certainly vigorous but just a little dazed and confused, but it extends fully into the finish and well beyond with that classic mushroom and cream finish of old white burgundy. Not bad for a village wine of twenty years.
