Bright yellow. Nose with perfume notes, honey, some "oily" and spicy notes, and some mint and hints of minerality. Fully dry palate (and the labels says indice 1 on Z-H's scale of 1-5), yellow fruit, some honey, good weight and a bit of viscosity, medium acidity, good salty minerality, just a hint of bitterness. 89-90 p. The nose is naturally less explosive than that of a young Muscat, and quite reminiscent of a mature Gewurztraminer. The palate is more Muscat-like, but more "foody" in style than is often the case for Alsace Muscat. Definitely a serious wine.

A private dinner (Restaurant Alinea Madrid, Madrid, Spain): Very aromatic, almost Gewurz-like, roses, spices, jasmin; juicy but dry palate, medium body, zingy acidity; light and dry finish, good length.
