Fathers Day wine choice. Two bottles opened and both were left to sit for about an hour before drinking. Lighter weight than expected, however due to vintage and age, this makes sense. The wine was elegant and very feminine. Notes of cherries and blackberries on the nose and palate. I think this wine is just past its prime drinking age so my advice would be to drink up as I think this is going downhill. Overall, quite nice, but drink up!

Stored in my cellar since I bought in 2007. Drinking well now. I believe it is at it's peak as it was great, but didn't get any better (or worse) over the 2 hours we drank it. Classic Bordeaux, and not overly ripe.

always an enjoyable wine, as the 2nd of a 1st should be. still drinking well. Drink up over the next two years though. This bottle still had some acidity that other bottles lacked but at this bottle age, for this vintage, variability is the norm.

Second Judgment of Madrid, Still an Aficionados' Matter (Restaurante Garcia de la Navarra - Madrid): Smells like a traditional well-aged Barolo. Dusty cherries, rotten petals of roses. Elegant decadence in a Margaux receipt.
Subtle and classy palate. Silky at first with a timeless end. Delicious and little underrated by a few.
Right in the middle of the pack. 5th position.
