From Magnum. 30 minutes in the glass. Color showing a little bricking. Black and some red fruits that were not as dominant as they were a decade ago. The Oak treatment was showing too much for my palate and I deducted a point. Some dried herbs and sage. Moderate acidity. Smooth. I suspect this is not alive in 750 format.

last bottle of this and wishing I had 11 more! Aging wonderfully, it is now a gorgeous and gracious wine with both red and black fruit and resolved tannins.

From magnum (natural cork). Just gorgeous, with cassis, blueberries and licorice dominating. Rich and seamless with no hard edges and silky tannins. A delight to drink.

Really lovely. I drank this because of the heatwave -- I noticed that the temperature in my San Francisco kitchen was over 90 degrees (!) for two days and I thought the drawer of soon-to-drinkers might have been cooked. So I popped and poured a glass. Dynamite. Tannic still, and some alcohol on the nose but otherwise very smooth. Not complex really, but bold and powerful, delicious.
