  • better than the last bottle, but still not GC quality. Sell the other 10. Save the other full case and see where it goes. It still is just somewhat astringent, that is off-putting.

  • Tart, acidic, green, stemmy. Its either not a very good wine, or its in a real bad place right now.

  • Purchased from PC too, shows a bit hard and rustic, somewhat closed, but still highly drinkable. Does not show GC quality, more like. good village. Needs to flush out more and not so sure this will actually occur. Masculine in style and bit compact, but clear Burgundian Pinot.

  • This is a PC purchase at a price unheard of for GC. I agree with DCWINO's comments but this is more dark cherry fruit on the nose with cherry liqueur on the palate. I agree, this could use some time but I don't regret drinking my last bottle. I know Clos Vougeot is not the grandest of the GCs and I am no winemaker but something tells me that this wine can be great in the hands of another winemaker. There are many reasons why this wine may not be for everyone but lack of transparency and oak are two reasons I will not buy a wine from this producer at any price.

  • Purchased from PC. Expressive nose displaying mostly fresh strawberry, strawberry rhubarb tarts, mushroom and earth. Good concentration, piercing acidity and noticeable tannins that is slightly dry at the end. There is also a slight hint of oxidative note in the background that is not bothersome. It is starting to show some secondary notes but still has ample fruits. It is a big scale wine with dominant red/strawberry fruits, a bit chunky and rustic in style. Need time. If you are looking for elegance and subtlety, this is not for you.
