Light ruby in colour, lots of development. Smoky, ripe Grenache, plums and damson notes. Roasted quality to the wine. Very rustic, old fashioned. Touch of brettanomyces I think – a little bit farmyardy, but not unpleasantly so, old fashioned and ‘classic’. A tannic, powerful wine with a very interesting flavour profile. £220 per case
