This is just flat out brilliant, and even more so at the price. I love CRB, but admit that some of the reds can be a little challenging to cozy up to, and I've found huge bottle variation in the reds. Not so this wine, which is consistently delicious. Lipsmacking acidity and ample fruit. An easy quaffer all day. Not a schmancy wine, but I just love this style.

A little bit of a funky yeast meets white cherry and hay aroma. More hay on the palate with really nice licorice, preserved lemon, and white cherry finish. The finish was magical, but the funkyness really demanded something more the a sandwich and salad I had it with. Past its prime compared with the last bottle of this I had, yet definitely has character.

White fruit (apple, lime), citrus, nice wooliness, slight oxidation, floral, honey, good acidity. Bright. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable.

Not too sure what's going on here but I definitely got the "meaty, funky" aspects described in previous posts. Oxidation?
