Dark garnet. Nose shows development with undergrowth, cooked dark cherry fruit, coffee and chocolate. Med-full bodied with tannins that have softened completely and a jammy fruit resulting in sweetness. Acidity is quite sufficient, but overall there is a feeling of overripeness here. Long aftertaste. For my taste, this wine is past its point, and deffinitely much more evolved than the 2001 I opened recently.
