New World burgundy. Ripe red and black fruits on both the nose and palate. A little bit of heat on the finish that did seem to blow off with time. Good mouthfeel -- burgundian. Comes across as a burgundy meets California (or vice versa?) pinot. I don't think this will do much with any extended cellar time.

Pale with tawny rim. Spicy red fruit aromas. Light but full of lively, spicy Cotes de Beaune fruit. This packs a lot of flavor and intensity into a deceptively lithe frame.

Burgundy About Town (Various Vinous Venues, San Francisco): Pale with watery rim, yet with forthcoming floral, strawberry aromatics. Light bodied, kirsch fruit, soft tannins, quickly fades on the finish. What is here is hardly profound, but it is very pretty.

This is just gorgeous. Browning, soft and smooth, no grip at all, but it's salty and sweet and herby - just lovely.
