Very dark concentrated color, dark chocolate and berry's with smooth silky tannins. If I was to go the Carménère way, Purple Angel 05 is a much better choice in my humble opinion.

I was expecting a little more from this wine. A touch monolithic compared to some of the other wines on the table that night, so that could be affecting my scoring here. Dark chocolate, toast, and rich fruit. This was lacking a little acidity, and I think that was the major bummer for me. But, no hint of greenness and not overly oaked. Drink'em if you got'em.

Thought I was going to let this rest another few years, but.... Pretty much the same as six months ago, maybe slightly better. Very dark in color, and in flavor profile. The finish was very interesting, pulling in some flavors that reminded me of holiday spices. A good wine, probably better in a number of years, no hurry on this one.

Drank with 2011 Purple Angel. This was lesser of the two. Neither exceptional or on par with other vintages. Unremarkable.
