Impenetrable wine, this is probably what a black hole looks like. Nose of violets. Prunes. Also a presence of distilled alcohol. Forest fruit on the palate. Strong characteristics that have something of an over-baked Christmas Cake. Blackberry liqueur too. Sweet, and by now well integrated tannins give it a hulking body. This is a fairly unique, massive 16% alcohol blockbuster made from Malbec with allegedly 10% Cab Sauv. The legs (lagrimas) don’t just lazily linger on the sides of the glass, they grip it refusing to leave the glass. The dynamic duo of Rolland & Parker have conspired to make & rate this wine at 95pts. We feel it’s absence of subtlety makes it a CT 91. The finish has an agridoce balance, full fruity mouth with a smack of bitterness.

Full bodied, massive fruit concentration and high in alcohol, but all this come together and the wine revealed to be elegant and classy. I was expecting something heavily oaked, but this was used well. Very good indeed.

Decanted for 6!! hours. Almost to much from everything, but a typical "Parker"-wine, made of M.Rolland (a buddy of him). Superripe fruit, massive alcohol, full body, smooth tannins, high acidity, long finish. The balance is not perfect, the power is clearly dominating the elegance... If you are looking for a bomb, you're right! Good with the biggest porterhouse-steak you can find...

Perfect drinking now. Lush, great texture, tannins have resolved. Alcohol dominant when popped, but decanted for an hour and it opened up.
