Revisiting from several years ago from a set of bottles of this vintage. Decanted for two hours and poured back and forth several times between decanters to stimulate -- this really woke the wine up. Delicious dark fruits that still show a hint of fresh pop and an earthy undertone. Definitely not a young wine but also not over the hill yet. I feel much better about the rest of the 1999, 2000, and 2003 bottles I have left!

I have had bottle variation and this was popped and poured at cellar temperature. This bottle had plenty of structure and mineral backbone but felt like the fruit was fading. B+?

Extremely tight and overpowering methol odor. Decanted for several hours and no noticeable change. Had high hopes for this. Several more bottles in cellar, will revisit in a few years.

Very tight. Big asphalt taste on opening. Lots of wood, tannins, but not a whole lot else going on. Still very tight after 2 days of being open. Not going to revisit this for awhile.

(Yacochuya) This is Michel Rolland's newest project in Argentina. I was pleasantly surpised by it. Mint, toasty oak, plum and a slight medicinal thing on the nose. Thick and ripe with dark plum and cassis fruit. Tannic!! . . .yet ripe and pure with the structure for aging.
