ChTR kokous 1.6.2010 (Annen ja Kimmon luona): Tasted double blind. A very dark purple. Lots of dark fruit, cassis and quite a bit of oak as well. Lots of tannins and cassis on the palate as well and a small smokey side taste that led me to guess South Africa. For this wine I was on a roll, I guessed Cab Sauv and 2006 as well! Nice, could use a few years in the cellar to calm down.

Exudes with aromas of cured tobacco and black tea, followed by burly flavors of black currant, licorice and toast, with a mineral finish. Multidimensional and well-balanced. Recommended.

Highly recommended and will improve. The gapes for this wine actually come from the Burgherspost estate in Darling which produces very ripe fruit.
