Pale amber color. Very nice nose of stones, white peaches, sea salt. A bit more nectarous on the palate than most finos, this wine has a slightly fuller body. Very pleasant flavors of dry apricots and chalk. Finishes well with sea water and olive notes. A very fine bottle.

Absolutely disgusting. Tasted like mildly salty dishwater. I could only bear a couple of sips. Maybe I didn't like it because it was my first experience with Sherry, but it will surely be my last bottle of Sherry if all Sherries are supposed to taste like this. I cannot believe how it got 90 points from Wine Advocate. The wine maker notes indicate that it is the first ever made single vintage Fino. I sincerely hope this is the last single vintage Fino as well.
This has green olive up front and a nice nutty finish. Bone dry. That being said, the midpalate provides a mouthful of unpleasant paint thinner. I've heard Fino sherries are at their best shortly after release, so I question whether this may be past its prime despite having a vintage date. It's definitely a style I need to explore more.

Third time round, by the glass this time, at MLSP. It is a testament to how enjoyable this wine was that I did not take any formal notes. From memory then - this was an extremely fresh fino showing citrussy notes in the lime / lemon spectrum on the nose, a bit of seashell at the edges and then a bright, lively, almost juicy palate where appley accents and a touch of fig met the lemon fruit tones first picked up on the nose. Neither the deepest nor the most complex fino, but the was wonderfully balanced and a perfect foil for a balmy Friday night of tapas and good conversation.

Not really an expert on aged Fino. To me this seemed tired and lacked the interest a fresh Fino has.
