11.5% alcohol, screw top, no vintage stated on the label, imported by Freixenet, Sonoma, CA; the retention of the acute accent in the owner's given name and the spelling 'Catalunya' on the label (thinking of Spain and all its stands for) speaks for itself; cloudy pale yellow, medium legs, not vinturied, tasted at ca 14 degrees C, nose of citrus, berries; tasting revealed a pleasant sourness/citrus, a light, clean taste, fast finish; cries out for pairing with hard or soft cheese, or drink solo; a straightforward, uncomplicated wine; we had previously been using this n.v. wine for baking dishes which called for a white wine ingredient, but it seemed to me to be worthy of a review in its own right; well worth its modest cost

A pleasant little white table wine I purchased at a super bargain price. The wine looks straw colored. It smells like grapefruit, melon, pine, and slightly like carnation and cut green grass. It tastes like pear and melon. The body is light. The wine finishes short and has high acidity. A little too light weight for me.

A simple, decent everyday white for those who enjoy lighter-bodied alternatives to chardonnay. Nice candidate for summer refrigerator wine to have ready when you walk in the door, or as an inexpensive party wine. Works as a "just relax, don't analyze it" wine. Paid less than $6; QPR appropriate. Have enjoyed the Mediterranean Red before, so this was a good bet. Drink now.

Sea breeze, mineral, and citrus notes throughout. Solid acid, lively, and imminently quaffable.
