Showing its age, but delivers on the slight above average price ~24$ in 2010.
Now is a little rusty red in glass. Nose is light in fruit and a little stewed and a hair port like. Palate comes off sharp with acid but light in tannin. Seems hotter in ETOH than labelled. The fruit is there on initial attack/mid palate then fades fast leaving a wisp of a smokey fruit quality and some heat. Fruit that is there is dark blackberry/currents and maybe some plum. There is a note of tabacco/leather with that as well.
I would not hold this longer so drink up this year. Needs some summer food to match. I enjoyed sampling this over last few years and seems the wine has really changed. Will continue to keep a few vintages in rotation on shelf. Nice QPR to experiment with.

- Garnet color. It's balanced with a medium body. Polished texture with a long finish - Very drinkable I highly recommend this wine although you may come across some corked bottles this wine with the extra age really brings some competition with higher priced wines.

Bogle old vine Zin continues to be my favorite for a low priced ($8.00 in Atlanta) Zin. This wine had a dusty rose tinted blue/black color of medium intensity. The nose was a bit empty with mostly earth and light fruit. Taste was nice and spicy with a good bit of dust and some fire and medium red fruits. Plenty of Tannin and a bit of oak on the finish

This has aged very well. Wine is now more mellow without losing its fruit. Very nice. Fantastic QPR
