Yeasty nose with smooth restrained chardonnay character typically more reminiscent of Burgundy than California. Some citrus notes seemed the defining fruit.

CB: Had next to an 05 Ramey RRV Chard. These wines couldn't be more different, yet for the first time tasting two very different and distinct wines I honestly had no clue which one I liked better!! In the end I decided that this wine was more impressive in its complexity and flavors than the Ramey but it was darn close. I should have taken notes at the time but failed to do so. I do remember that the color was a bit cloudy, the palate was of medium weight with notes of lemon and a hint of oakiness but in a very integrated manner. Long finish. Great wine.

Fantastic. Drinking beautifully. Nuts vanilla dark fruits smoke. What a pleasure. And a surprise all these years later. Good until '20 at least.

This really aged beautifully. Complex, flavorful.

Golden yellow colour, citrus nose. Acid has melted away, and heat is emerging. Fun, but on the decline.
