Mini Riesling Fest (Johns Creek, GA): Deeper golden; somewhat disjointed, lots of honey, peach, lime, interesting mineral not really slate, came together a little better with air but I just didn't like some components, an aldehyde-like note that was off-putting but blew off; while there were some good characteristics I just didn't fully understand this bottle.

Showed much better than first btl opened closer to taking delivery few months ago. Sweetness in this btl was well balanced with acidity and overall structure. Great bottle of spat with nice yellow color showing some polished gold. delicious.

Showed a little flat, with golden delicious flesh and copious sweetness, but absent the zing to round out the package. After a couple days corked in the fridge it showed much creamier and bruleed, almost a bananas foster or custardy feel to it, really intriguing. This was bottle 1/6 that just arrived, so maybe it was road weary. Maybe more time will bring all the elements into alignment? Maybe a less than pristine bottle? Or maybe this is the wine. Tbd, but I'll hold off on another one until later this year if I can.
