The bottom third of the cork was so soft it wouldn't pull out - I had to push it in. Not horribly gone, but just a little too sour to be enjoyable for drinking. It'll work for cooking.

Don't know if it's the additional 16 months in the cellar or what, but tonight it definitely feels like a 90-point wine. Beautifully spicy nose, like cinnamon red hots, nice cherry cola on the palate, muscular tannins.

Translucent magenta. Crushed strawberry, spicy oak, and earthy nose. Light to medium bodied, copious tasty red fruit, spices, well integrated sweet tannins, nice acid, and a medium to long finish. Just damn good.
