Great Cab. Firm tannins balanced with nice fruit and enough acidity to cut the fat of a nice grilled steak. This wine has a lot of aging potential yet. Two thumbs up!

These wines really need time to unspool after years under a glass top.... Night one was rough - everything felt disconnected, the dark fruit was there but it finished hot and just seems off. It was open for 5 plus hours before we recapped and put back into the fridge... I took it out at noon the next day, uncapped and finally poured a glass four hours later and everything finally fell into place. Heavy nose - jammy black fruits, asphalt, thyme and rosemary - growing more sweet upon entry. Seems very concentrated still with pronounced notes of blackberries, burnt sugar, tobacco and black cherries through the finish.
While we enjoyed it, the glasses we had to accompany Oregon Snowmageddon 2014 we're good but should have been better given the effort. Might just be a bottle that demands 24 hours of forethought.

Decanted 2 hours. Firm, crusty port-like sediment. Deep and fresh nose with blackberries, licorice and briar-y savory herbs. Vibrant fresh flavors on the palate feature juicy red and black fruit in perfect balance. Graphite, some coffee--all wrapped in suave tannins with a glorious, long finish. This is just gorgeous! Now through 2018

Deliciously smooth and integrated, but didn't quite pop in any particular direction like I was hoping. Didn't quite live up to my memory of this amazing wine, so it's possible I had a slightly off bottle. I hope it hasn't peaked, that would be unfortunate and unexpected.
