Cellared since release, this looks bright and vibrant red, just fading a touch at the rim but it’s still relatively youthful. The nose has red currant and black currant coulis, there’s a rusty earthiness now, and worn leather, fair acidity, a little more wouldn’t hurt, decent finish. Quite a lovely elegant new world Syrah with a fair few years ahead of it.

This is pretty, rather fine with excellent balance and nicely judged ripeness - so there are floral flavours but not excessively so.
Quite juicy and fresh, this is just coming into its drinking window. I'm in no rush to drink these up, I expect they will cruise through the next decade if well cellared.
13.5% ABV, sealed with cork.

Stunning. Followed a Coleraine and beat it hands down, even noting an entirely different style.

Smells like... gunpowder, a bit of rubber...not really pleasant but it tastes rich, spicy with a nice freshness given its age.
Strikes me like a cross between North Rhone and South African shiraz.
Interesting.

Perhaps a little hot on the palate and has lost the florality it once had. Balanced and well made.
