Light garnet color. Nose offers up small red and dark fruits, spice, coffee and undergrowth. On palate lovely fruit with soft tannins and intense minerality. Long finish. VG village.

Some Cote de Nuits 2007 at the Cottage: From quite high up the Vosne hill. Subtle, minimal intervention winemaking. Around 15% new oak. This is quite interesting. Showing well from the get-go, beautiful aromatics of stylish cool fruit and mineral nuances. Very tasty and balanced on the palate, and full of delicate tension. Clearly a hillside wine in character, I liked this a lot.
