  Side by side to 01 Conti. I expected the 07 to be open for business but it remaining restrained for the 1rst hour easily. With more air the nose of red and black fruited berries becomes more noticeable. In comparison the 2001 is more open and captivating at first. They are both ethereal but the 01 is lighter , fresher and dare say more ethereal. The 07 picks up weight and becomes a bit more haunting I dare say. Overall the 01 was the better wine but the 07 appears to be hiding more. Hope I get to experience it again.

  definitely needs time. got progressively better throughout the night. Although i don't like the green, foresty, veggie nose but the complexity and depth on the palate was so effortless and smooth.

Elegant, ethereal nose over fairly intense red & black cherry bouquet with cues of mineral, redcurrant, dried flowers & herbs, exotic spices & savory oak. Medium plus, intense, lush, round, smooth, sweet red & black berry fruit flavors intermingled with a confluence of floral, herbal, spicy & savory notes; satiny tannins, powdery extracts & fine acidity in full complement & exquisite balance; a classy wine of haunting perfume & silken texture but sadly lacking better concentration & precision (especially when compared to the '07 La Tache & '07 de Vogüé Musigny V.V.). Long elegant persistent finish.

  DRC 2007 vs 2009: Klar, mild rød. Kompleks nese av kirsebær, markjordbær, en nydelig rørsukkeraktig sødme, mild vanilje og en kanel+ingefær aktig aroma. Slank, elegant frukt med flott konsentrasjon. Sitter svært godt i munnen; har et utrolig godt grep og fylde til å være så slank. Frisk syre. Tørr avslutning med svak, mineralsk sødme. Veldig lang ettersmak. Komplett vin, men fremdeles veldig ung.
