  • This was delightful tonight almost immediately after opening and so consistent with my last note, that I just copied and edited it slightly.

“While the mouthfeel on this bottle was silky and almost delicate, the red fruit was complex and penetrating with undertones of Asian spice, nutmeg, mushroomy sous bois , pretty floral notes, firm minerality, enough acidity to keep it from feeling flabby and fine, dusty tannins on the long, satisfying finish. Really well balanced. Excellent!!”

Tonight the tannins have melted seamlessly into the finish and this was drinking exquisitely!!

  • Finally drinking well, in fact very well. Pro reviews do well at describing. I would describe as similar to very good Oregon pinots, such as Zepherine, but while those could be described as still being children, this Thibault is an adult. Maybe I should hang onto to good Oregon Pinots longer to see what becomes of them.

Really well balanced. Excellent!! Sadly though, I’m down to my last 2 bottles.

  • Very nice, but even after about 3 hours of air, this was abit on the reserved side. That being said, there was still an abundance of rich, unctuous, dark red fruit with undertones of earthy Asian spice, sous bois, nutmeg and black pepper.

  • Tonight this was drinking really well about an hour after opening with lots of penetrating, peppery red fruit, sous bois, nutmeg and Asian spice notes. The depth and concentration tonight were admirable. To my tastes, this is in a perfect place.
