WIMLNR,NOWA,NOWS Tasted March 24, 2005 at an offline so brief comments only. Opened and served immediately in Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glasses. Light to medium yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. A very odd nose for a chardonnay. The nose was almost brett-like, smelling of Band-Aids or perhaps iodine; medicinal in nature. Not appealing in anyway, shape or form. Troubling as this is the third bottle opened by our local wine tasting group members and all three were flawed. Not rated for obvious reasons and not recommended because of the potential for opening a flawed bottle.

Red Carpet: Gold; funny stoney smells, pear, basket, some lite bake. spice, nice slightly green long fin., w/hot tang at end; Old World, med. clim, low on oak, but maybe no MF.

Pichon-Lalande Vertical (Harry's Steak): Smells like a cross between Madeira and synthetic microwave-popcorn butter. Woof.
