Took a chance on this 9 yr old wine. Brownish colour appearing and showing some age. Nose with tertiary notes and some faint berries. Light to medium bodied wine, the palate quite faint, though. Past its prime, even though it was definitely worth drinking.

Chateauneuf du Pape Tasting - Seattle: This led off with a great nose that offered flowers, herbs and spices. Greenblanket thought that the great strength of this wine was it’s beautiful poise and balance in the mouth – he didn’t want to swallow it. This wine had great concentration and complexity and a long finish. Outstanding

Pierre Usseglio tasting (Hellerup): Red color with a browning hue. Fragile aromas of raspberry, but not giving a lot. On the palate it is a little too thin, but has some raspberry fruit at first and pepper on the midpalate. Drinking ok, not diluted, but lacking complexity.

Decent bottle of wine, but past its prime. Lighter style, that become a bit more complex with 2-3 hours of air. 85 points.
