  • I had coravined this some months ago and I'm not sure what happened - either oxygen got in or I misjudged the wine before? In any case, disappointing - short, not much fruit, tired, slightly off. Will leave a number ranking off thinking the bottle might have failed.

  • A youthful-looking, semi-opaque crimson in color, lightening slightly around the edge. Subtle aromas of crushed dark berries, earth, leather, and exotic spices on the nose. Full-bodied and rich, but not at all over done. Velvety in texture. This explodes onto the front-palate with a huge blast of ripe, delicious plum, cherry and dark currant fruit. Fades a bit on the mid-palate, but then finishes long, with alluring notes of coffee, leather and mineral that linger on. Very soft, supple and complex. A beautiful, mature Tuscan Cabernet.

  • Dark red. Black berry, blue berry bouquet. Sweet tannins, smooth, light, but not watery, looking for some complexity, but not there, maybe it is closed. I will let it vacuumed overnight to see what happens. Will report 2nd day tasting.

Oh yeah, it opened up 2nd day. . The complexity showed up. Licrorice, dark fruits, a little dirt, finish is medium length with some lingering tannins. Who said it is not a Bordeaux? It is as good as bordeaux - a good bordeaux style blend.
