Peter's Mature Pommard (The Perseverence, Marylebone): Dense ruby. Quite floral and lifted above dense red fruit. Still chewy and well structured. Good acidity and tannin. Lots of potential, but as Filippo says, Jadot, Pommard, 96? Leave! **(**)

couleur rubis avec un disque tuilé, cerise noire au nez, fait on voit qu'il commence à etre fatigué. en bouche, belle acidité, mais le fruit commence à manqué. à boire sans attendre...

Slow-oxed about 3 hours, tasted over 3 more. Ruby core, slight bricking at the rim. Pretty and surprisingly youthful nose of black cherry and clove. Light to medium bodied with nice medium acidity. Black cherry and blackberry fruit, some baking spice and fine-grained tannins. This started a bit light and one-dimensional (fruity) but gained a bit of weight and depth with time in the glass. The acidity is prominent but not out of balance. I'm shocked by how young this is showing. It has the fruit and structure to go at least another 20 years.
