RUSSK While it does not impress as specific grape (PN) or a specific place (Burgundy or Willimette Vally), it is very drinkable and very cheap ($5) and a heck of a lot better than others I have had in the $20 price range. I would buy more.

definitely not obviously pinot-like, as other tasters have noticed. Dark berries, obvious alcohol, sweetly stewed fruit with a cranberry edge. It was passable, and my parents, absolutely darling and lovely people who don't know anything about wine, said they "liked it well enough" (which is why, I can assume, they bought it). I was pleasantly surprised at its drinkability - normally pinot in the $8 range absolutely kills me. If given the choice, I too (as soyhead said) would go for the Mendocino Castle Rock pinot at $11.

An inexpensive table wine. Very drinkable, but not a full Pinot taste.

Smooth and light with a hint of cherry. Somewhat different for a Pinot, but very drinkable. A good inexpensive table wine.

Nice berry aroma. Great daily drinker. I'm going to have to pick up a few more for when I want a lighter, brighter red than the typical big cab...
