not as fruity as I'd expect from Dusted Valley. Average nose, finish ends quick. value wine but I've had better in this price range. try their stained tooth syrah, you won't regret it!

96% Syrah, 2.4% Mourvedre, 1.6% Barbera in French and American oak. Soft syrah nose. Dark cherries, blackberries, and light spice. Solid tannic structure. Medium length finish. Great value. Will benefit from more aging. Very good, bordering on excellent.

(Boomtown Syrah Columbia Valley) An attention-getting nose with chocolate, smoked meat, and a very intense fruit aroma. Up front on the palate and then has a smooth descent down. The nose is a knock-out. The taste is a bit thin at times but with a lot of light chocolate notes. Overall, a superb nose with a taste that doesn’t live up to it but still provides a lot of value.

Definitely corked. Dead aromas, flat berry flavors. So much for the screwcap!
