The ( mixed ) joys of cellaring. This bottle was a great surprise. Held at 12C in a Eurocave at our subtropical NE Australia beach house since purchase, the colour was a limpid cherry red.The nose was a delight with cherry, blackberry, strawberry, rose and spring flowers. The palate was now still full of fruit but the 03 ripeness was in abeyance and some lovely structure was evident and balanced the wine. This was really lovely with fresh pasta. Who would have thought it ?

Lovely nose an hour after opening; black cherry and anise palate. Some tannins still unresolved.
