  I have a particular affinity for Left Bank Bordeaux. As such, hard not to like this wine. High degree of typicity, excellent balance between tannins and dark fruit, well matching what I expect to find. Had a few bottles a few years ago, this one feels like one notch up.

  Drank six bottles over two weeks with friends in the south of France. A favourite with everybody. Smooth with abundant fruit and drinking very well now. Not sure how long it has left but suspect at least five years. Interesting anecdote: one evening the wine was clearly too warm (it was still 27° outside) and so we put it in the fridge for 45 mins. The colder version of this wine was simply delicious, better than any other bottle, and supporting the theory that people drink red wine too warm.

  Brun/tegelröd färg, djup och tät.
  
  Nyanserad och utvecklad rökig och fruktig doft, mörka bär, jordigt. Fylligt.
  
  Lättdrucket, vanilj, mycket tanniner, lång eftersmak. Rostad fatkaraktär, svarta vinbär.
  
  Lite tråkigt

  Like many '08 St Estephe, this is drinking well now. Surprising depth of aroma for a Cru Burgeois, showing abundant earth & soil, minerality alongside the cassis fruit core. Really rather enjoyable. Mid palate is a touch thin, though this should be enjoyed as a medium bodied easy drinker. Good structure, still giving some of that claret "bite", and whilst it should keep, probably not going to improve much from here. Nice.
