Classic St. Estephe with that dark dusty fruit fading away. There's a real peppery tobacco note that is at times angular and stalky, but for the most part this is gentle and charming, even if a bit past its best.

nice red; some vanilla in the nose; powerful on the palate, berries, some acids but not too dominant; about 15 minutes after opening a quite pleasurable wine
