  • Opened 2 hours prior and followed over a few hours. Medium yellow. Rich citrus nose with perceptible oak. Round entry, slow crescendo through a lovely midpalate of honeyed citrus with a trace of minerality and deft use of oak. Complex, lingering final.

This was my last bottle of these but I enjoyed this wine very much. Excellent value. Thought it went better with food than without.

  • Popped and poured. Light gold. Leesy bouquet with some beeswax and honey notes coupled with orchard fruits. Round attack, building slowly into a complex mid-palate of lemon curd, honey, and apples.

The finish is what pulls this wine into focus and delivers an incisive acidity that reverberates a good 30 seconds, shading into pure lemon coupled with a match strike minerality and oak but also echoing some of the orchard fruit from the bouquet.

Balanced, refreshing, complex and drinking delightfully now.

  • Popped and poured at 12C. Medium yellow. Classy Burgundy bouquet with some traces of flint and peach/apricot on the nose. Round, creamy attack, builds nicely in to a zesty, acid laced mid-palate pairing off against orchard fruits and a lattice of minerality. Oak is finely judged and adds nicely to the complexity here. Sunshine, minerality and freshness all part of the package. Nice length and balance.

This is a great value wine...Les Charmois borders Les Chaumees in Chassagne-Montrachet. Well worth looking out for.

  • 89 Bonito color amarillo verdoso, muy joven; nariz mineral, tiza; en boca tiene nervio y acidez, pero también cuerpo y volumen. Es largo y sabroso.

  • So far I've had two bottles, and this is the average score. The first about three months ago was excellent, a 92, the other night much less vibrant, an 88. Bottle variation? Or is it possible the wine is getting tired that quickly? Have to try one more, because the first was an outstanding QPR.
